The NEC DSX 22 Button display telephone with built-in speakerphone...
My first impression of the NEC DSX 22 button telephone is that it looks nice on my desk. When I drop it, it doesn't feel like it's going to break like a lot of the phones I see advertised on the Internet. This one's sturdy. When I pick up the whole telephone, there's some real weight to that, too. NEC has always been known for making quality telephones, and this 22 button telephone is no exception. On the underbelly, there's a jack for a line, the handset, and a headset. This telephone is compatible with a lot of really nice headsets, especially those from Plantronics.
On the front of the telephone, there are 10 speed dial keys at the top. There are also 12 programmable function keys, which can be assigned for lines, intercoms or call group answering as well as a host of other features. Also at the top of the telephone, there's an indication lamp for voicemail, which lights really bright and is really easy to see from across the room. It has all the standard buttons you would expect to see on a telephone, like transfer, intercom, redial, do not disturb, conference, speaker and hold.
For their budget model telephone, the NEC DSX 1090020 22 button telephone does not feel like a budget model telephone. It's a great addition to any office.
